Custom website design for small businesses

Custom website designfor businesses thatwant more clients.

I design and build websites from scratch for small businesses that are ready to look established online: clear about what you do, fast on every phone and built to turn visits into calls, bookings and inquiries.

Strategy, design, development and SEO, handled directly by one partner.

The website of Exotic Punta Cana, a transfer company in Punta Cana, on a desktop browser and a phone.
“Michael understood exactly what we wanted for Milux Auto and delivered a website that feels modern, fast and highly professional.”

Selected clients

Before you build

Most small-business sites
are built to exist,
not to sell.

A template gets you online. It rarely gets you chosen. These are the gaps that cost new businesses their first customers.

  1. 01

    It looks like everyone else

A theme your competitors also bought tells visitors nothing about why you are the better call.

  2. 02

Nobody can tell what you do

If a visitor needs more than a few seconds to understand the offer and who it is for, they go back to the results.

  3. 03

It falls apart on a phone

Most visits start on a phone. Slow pages, tiny buttons and broken layouts end them.

  4. 04

    There's no clear next step

Without an obvious way to call, book, message or request a quote, interested people simply leave.

  5. 05

Google can't make sense of it

Without a technical base, a clear structure and local signals, the site never shows up for the searches that matter.

  6. 06

    You can't grow it

Adding a service, a page or a campaign turns into a rebuild instead of an afternoon.

A website is not a brochure you finish. It is the first salesperson most of your customers will meet, so it has to be built like one.

From blank page

Every block has
a job to do.

Drag the divider. Underneath, the plan Milux Auto's homepage started from; on top, the site built on it, exactly as it is live today.

  1. 1Four choices, not 12
  2. 2Book in one click
  3. 3A promise you read in two seconds
  4. 4What they offer, and why trust them
  5. 5Main action
  6. 6Second path
  7. 7The product, front and center

What you get

A website that makes
a new business look
established.

Built from a blank page around your offer, your customers and the decision you want them to make, not around a template's layout.

01

Credibility from day one

A presence that makes a first-time visitor comfortable enough to get in touch, even if they have never heard of you.

02

An offer that reads in seconds

What you do, who it is for and why you, stated plainly before anyone has to scroll.

03

Paths to contact, book or buy

Calls, WhatsApp, forms, bookings or checkout placed where the decision actually happens.

04

Found on Google from launch

Technical SEO, metadata, speed and local signals set up before launch, so search can start working for you.

Selected work

Three businesses.
Three different goals.

What a new website includes

Everything a new website
needs to go from idea
to business asset.

One scope, one person accountable for it. You won't coordinate a designer, a developer and an SEO who blame each other.

  • 01

    Strategy & structure

Goals, audience, pages, content plan and the route a visitor takes from arrival to inquiry.

  • 02

    Custom design

A visual direction built around your brand, not a template with your logo dropped in.

  • 03

    Responsive development

Fast, accessible code that holds up on phone, tablet and desktop.

  • 04

    Conversion paths

Calls to action, forms, WhatsApp, bookings or checkout placed where they do their job.

  • 05

    SEO foundations

Technical setup, metadata, structured data, indexing, speed and Google Business Profile guidance from the start.

  • 06

    Integrations

Analytics, email, WhatsApp, bookings, payments and the tools you already use.

  • 07

    Launch & support

Help with domain, hosting and email, testing, launch, a walkthrough and support after you go live.

Who you actually work with

One partner from
strategy to launch.

You work directly with the person responsible for the strategy, the design and the code. No account managers, no hand-offs, nothing lost between departments.

  • Against a DIY website builder

Builders win on price and speed. You pay for it in your own hours, in a site that looks like thousands of others and in the ceiling you hit when the business grows.

  • Against an agency

Agencies win on capacity. That capacity arrives with layers, overhead and distance between you and whoever is actually building.

I'm Michael, an independent web designer and developer based in the Dominican Republic, building websites for small businesses in the US and the Caribbean, in English and Spanish.

The process

From blank page
to launch in five steps.

Every stage is defined up front, so you always know what is happening now, what comes next and what I need from you.

  1. 01

    Discovery

Your business, your customers, your competitors and what a win looks like in the first year.

  2. 02

    Structure

Pages, content, messaging and the journey each page has to carry.

  3. 03

    Design

The visual direction and the key pages, refined with you before any production code exists.

  4. 04

    Build

Development, integrations, speed and SEO setup — responsive and ready for real content.

  5. 05

    Launch

Testing, going live, analytics, a walkthrough and the agreed support.

Before you write

Are we a good fit?

This works well if

  • You run a real business and want it to look established online.
  • You want a custom site rather than a template.
  • You care about inquiries, bookings or sales, not just a pretty page.
  • You can share your offer, prices or examples and give timely feedback.

This is not the right fit if

  • You want the cheapest possible website.
  • You need a full custom site live within a few days.
  • You want a copy of another company's design.
  • You are not ready to provide content, feedback or decisions.

Questions

Answered
plainly.

Still unclear on something? Ask it in the form — it becomes a better first conversation.

Every project is quoted individually, because the number of pages, the content, the integrations and the features vary widely. The form includes budget ranges: share the one you are working with and I will tell you honestly whether we are aligned before we spend time on a call. Once the scope is agreed, the price is fixed.

Most new websites take about 4–8 weeks from kickoff to launch. The two things that move that timeline are content readiness and how quickly feedback comes back, so both are planned for from the start.

No. A logo and some notes about your business are enough to start. I help you structure the content, and full copywriting can be included when you need it.

Every site launches with SEO foundations: technical setup, metadata, structured data, speed and guidance for your Google Business Profile. Ranking for competitive searches takes time and ongoing work, which is what the SEO service is for.

Yes. I help you choose and configure the domain, hosting and an email address on your own domain, or work with the ones you already have.

The platform is chosen based on what the project actually needs — how the site will be updated, what it has to integrate with and how it should grow. You get a clear recommendation and the reasoning behind it, not a preference imposed on the project.

Yes. The site is set up so you can manage the content that changes regularly, and you get a walkthrough at launch. Anything structural stays available through continued support.

Yes. I work with businesses in the US and the Dominican Republic, in English and Spanish, remotely and in overlapping time zones.
